Olympic Logo:

The Olympic logo, generally known as the Olympic Rings represent the Olympic Charter. It consists of five intertwined rings and represents the unity of the five inhabited continents (America, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe). The colored version of the rings—blue, yellow, black, green, and red—over a white field forms the Olympic flag. These colors were chosen because every nation had at least one of them on its national flag. The flag was adopted in 1914 but flown for the first time only at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium. It has since been hoisted during each celebration of the Games.

Olympic Motto
In 1921, Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games, borrowed a Latin phrase from his friend, Father Henri Didon, for the Olympic motto: Citius, Altius, Fortius ("Swifter, Higher, Stronger").

CAT 2012 Notification

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 exam date/notification is out for admission into the 13 IIM's (Indian Institute of Management).

The good news about the CAT 2012 is that there are no surprises, i mean no further changes in the pattern when compared with the previous year.

Important dates for CAT 2012:

• The CAT 2012 will be conducted in a 21 day window from 11 October 2012 to 6 November 2012
• CAT aspirant can take appear for the exam in this window only once. (Obvious)
• The commencement of CAT voucher's is from 30 July 2012 to 17 September 2012
• Registration for the exam starts from 30 July 2012 to 17 September 2012 i.e., you can immediately register and book your slots after purchasing the Voucher.
• Now the most important date, the RESULT day will be 9 January 2013.

Windows 8 Release date

The much awaited OS from Microsoft is about to release. Microsoft has set the Windows 8 Release date in October 2012. The date was officially announced at the Microsoft Windows 8 Consumer Preview event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2012. No specific date has been provided yet. :(

The next generation OS from Microsoft is mainly focused on the tablet and smartphone users because of its 'Tile type touch interface'.

Microsoft revealed that Windows 8 will be available for the hardware makers in the month of August. While coming to the price of the OS, it will be available for 40 USD for the existing Windows OS users and it will easily upgrade able from the Microsoft's website. If you are using 7, Vista or XP then you can upgrade to Windows 8 pro with the help of Windows 8 upgrade assistant at only 39.99 USD. Sounds cool right??. :) And the most important part is you can also download Windows Media center for free using the additional tools option on Windows 8 upgrade assistant.

For non Microsoft product users, it will be available around 70 USD. The DVD's will be rolled out in the market around September 2012.
